FlameShield™ aviation /aerospace grade high temperature, heat, flame and pyro resistant firesleeve jacket is manufactured to the latest SAE AS1072F standards so it can pass the fire testing standards of AS1055F: and the requirements of FAA TSP - C53a and TSO - C75. This version meets the AS1072 standard but has no marking printed on the sleeve.
Firesleeve may be used for all fuel hoses, oil lines , hydraulic hoses, fire extinguisher and prop feathering lines. "Fire-proof" hose lines, as defined by the FAA, must withstand a direct flame contact for fifteen minutes under specified flow conditions without failure. "Fire-resistant" lines must withstand a 5 minute exposure under these conditions.
Fire-proof hose assemblies are obtained when the proper size firesleeve is selected and then properly assembled with appropriate clamps.
This firesleeve can withstand temperatures of up to 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure; 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
This AS1072 firesleeve is available in oxide-red or black. Other colors may be also available from stock or by special order with short delivery times for colors such as black, blue, green, silver-grey, yellow, orange, etc.
