Firesleeve with Hook and Loop Closure - Oxide-Red or Black

AFFSC-V
In stock

Firesleeve has a limitation in that it must be slid over the hose or cable it is protecting. This may be a problem if the hose or cable is already installed and cannot be removed from the machine or equipment. A solution to this problem is a firesleeve with a hook & loop fastener closure manufactured into the sleeve. This allows the firesleeve to be installed on hoses, cables or lines without disassembly.

Firesleeve with Hook and Loop Velcro closure is the perfect solution this for protecting hydraulic hoses and lines, pneumatic lines, fuel & oil lines, brake lines, wires and cables from exposure to high temperature, heat, flame, fire and pyro conditions including weld splatter, molten splash slag and sparks. The extra thick formulation of silicone rubber from ozone, UV and light duty abrasion.

The material can withstand temperatures of up to 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure; Molten Splash at 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.

For aviation use additional banding should be used at intervals to ensure the sleeve is kept closed in case of failure of the hook & loop closure in a fire environment.

This firesleeve is available in oxide-red or black.
