Firesleeve Tape is used to wrap hoses, cables, lines, piping and other industrial, marine and aviation equipment. It is especially useful to protect anything with an irregular shape; for example, a hose splitter assembly or cable splice.
It is common for the tape to be over-wrapped at 50%, thereby providing a "double-layer" of protection. Firesleeve tape can be secured onto what it is being installed on with tie-wraps, wire ties, hose clamps, ear clamps, other types of sleeving or periodic wraps of our End Wrap Tape.
The firesleeve tape is made with an extra thick coating of high-temperature silicone rubber over a knitted E-type fiberglass tape.
The material can withstand temperatures of up to 500°F / 260°C Continuous Exposure: Higher Intermittent Withstands Molten Splash & Welding Splatter/Grinding Sparks
