FlameShield™ End Seal Dip is a special formulation of high temperature silicone rubber used to seal the exposed ends of firesleeve. Sealing the end of the firesleeve prevents it from absorbing or wicking liquids such as fuel, oil and water, and also prevents dust and dirt from entering the finished hose or cable assembly. Becomes tack free in 60 to 90 minutes and cures fully in 16 to 24 hours. Cure can be accelerated by increasing relative humidity and also adding heat. The material can withstand temperatures of up to 500°F / 260°C rating once cured.
